Adam is a Deacon!

Frank and I drove down to Cedar Sunday morning to make sure they were telling us the truth. Sure enough - Adam is now 12 years old and he is a deacon. We went to the house after church with Uncle Leo and Aunt Beth, Jerry's mom, Anita, and his sister, Carolyn. Leo and Beth live in Hurricane. It was good to see them. We dropped in on them when we were in St. George a month or so back and they weren't home. They had gone down to the valley. That means St. George to Utahns, but it means The Valley to Arizonians - and they are still pretty solid Arizonians. They admit to liking it fine in Hurricane. Their son Michael lives about a mile from their house.

It was great seeing Janelle. She's been on thyroid medication since last we saw her and it has made a world of difference. She has some energy and is looking great.

Yet another effort....

Starting this blog was a good idea. And now after several months and another family wedding party it seems like an even better idea. Even to the point where we will try again. And maybe this time, really get it out to folks.

Blogs are posted with the most recent showing at the top of the page - so if you want to start at the beginning, head to the bottom to start reading.

Courtnee and David celebrated their marriage August 2nd 2008 in Vegas. It was held in a lovely home in the southwest part of town. Fifty some folks were treated to great food and a beautiful party.

Ashlee, Courtnee and Lola

Attendees of note (at least to the Hunt family) were:
  • Norm, Sharlan and her cute family (Husband Jason, Blake, Brittany and little Jaydn)

  • Jaydn

  • Jeff, Linda, their girls, husbands and grandkids

  • Tiffany, Kikoa and the 3 adorable triplets-Cooper, Brady and Alana
  • Aunty Tiffany, Milo and one of the triplets.

  • Ashlee, Kraig, Milo and Lola

  • David and Courtnee's - Chase

  • Frank and Sharla

  • Frank and Norman in a grueling game.

  • Jerry, Janelle, Adam and Emily

  • Ben and Tara (shown with Norman)
    • Next time I will be more careful to catch everyone in a picture.
But here's where you all come in. You are to make your own posts. If you will make a comment at the bottom of this posting and leave your email address, I will assign you to be one of the contributors, and you will put up your own information and pictures of your family! Or - if you already have a family blog - we will put a link on this blog to share with the rest of the family. And if you want - just send news/pictures to me and I will post them for you!
Ok - here we go. Let's see if this works.

A little news from Frank Hunt's family

Our happiest news is that we have our first granddaughter. Jaycie Jordyn Dorenbosch was born on Nov. 27th. Her brothers, Trevor and Spencer, adore her. They epitomize adoration.
      • Jeff and Tiffer live bought a home several years ago and live in Taylorsville. Jeff works for a company called Access Development as a software tester? Tuff works for West Valley Police Dept in the office.
      • Steven works for KCI - a wound care equipment company, as a deliverer. He lives in a town home in West Valley.
      • Alison and Jeffrey live in Magna temporarily while they look for a home. They've been busy with house hunting - and kids. Jeff works for Zions Bank as a Construction Loan Officer.
      • Kim is attending the Y getting a Master of Public Administration degree. This is her second semester and she seems to be doing well.
      • I still work at the college in Distance Ed, and Frank is still a partner at HJ and Assoc. My mom lives with us and we will be celebrating her 90th birthday in March.
      There - that's us. Let's hear about y'all.

Thanks to Norman and Myrleen, and most especially to Taylor and Samira, there was a very fine gathering of the Hunt Clan this weekend - Jan. 19, 2008. Taylor and Samira - a picture perfect couple - were married in the Mesa Temple and we celebrated at a reception held in their honor at a good friend's home there in Mesa. As happy as we are for the newlyweds, we are equally happy just to sit with one another and catch up on family. And in doing so - determine that there should be a simple way to keep in touch. And this is it.

When you log into a blog, you can type up your news, upload photos, or add web links to other sites.

So this is the challenge. I'm including photos from our Hunt gathering and a few from the Frank Hunt family. Then - our hope is that you will too.

FYI - we're aiming for a gathering in August to celebrate Courtney's wedding. Hopefully details can be posted here for the whole family.
